Talk und Vocal Performance (ohne blau, ihr Körper) mit der Künstlerin Lucy Rose Cunningham (UK) in der HuMBase, mit anschließender Playlist und Drinks in der Korridor Bar. Die Performance fand als Interaktion innerhalb der Ausstellung Lowland #6 des Lowland Art Collectives statt.
Cunninghams künstlerische Praxis befasst sich mit dem performativen Einsatz von audiovisueller Kunst. Ihre Arbeiten entstehen oft als Live-Performances, bei denen sie Stimme, Bewegung und geschriebene Worte in Form von Publikationen und Drucken einsetzt. Kollaboration motiviert und leitet die Arbeit; polyphone Lesungen präsentieren multiple Sichtweisen unserer sich verändernden Welt. Indem sie die Klangkunst als ganzheitliche Ansatz erforscht, versucht Cunningham, Stimmen zu verwenden, um die Gegenseitigkeit zwischen Menschen und den Räumen, in denen sie leben, zu reflektieren.
„Wenn ich an die Performance für Apotheose denke, wird der Raum zu einer Erweiterung des Körpers. Emotionen werden durch Stimme und Bewegung erforscht; der Raum regt Gedanken an, und meine Performance atmet den Puls der gelebten Erfahrung wieder ein. Der Raum und ich sind eine Rückkopplungsschleife, die den Rhythmus des jeweils anderen aufnimmt und ausatmet. Jeder Atemzug, jede Note und jedes Geräusch steht in Konversation mit bestimmten Arbeiten in der Ausstellung.“

Lucy Rose Cunningham’s art practice looks at the performative use of audio-visual art, the works she makes often emerging as live performances utilising voice, movement and written words in the form of publications and print. Collaboration motivates and guides the work; polyphonic readings present multiple viewpoints of our changing world. Exploring sound art as a holistic embrace, Cunningham seeks to use voices to reflect the mutuality between people and the spaces they dwell in.
“Thinking about the performance for Apotheose, the space becomes an extension of the body. Emotions are explored through voice and movement; the room incites thoughts, and my performance breathes back the pulse of lived experience. The room and I are a feedback loop, collecting and exhaling each other’s rhythm. Each breath, each note and noise is in conversation with particular works in the show.”
