Um offenzubleiben, muss alles immer verhandelbar sein –
innerhalb strukturerhaltender Hierarchien und den damit einhergehenden Machtverhältnissen erscheint das als eine Behauptung utopischen Timbres.
Der Projekt- und Kulturort HuMBase erklärt die stete Verhandlung und bedingungslose Öffnung jedoch zu seiner Programmatik und versucht dieser Prämisse in einem fortschreitenden Akt des Scheiterns gerecht zu werden.
So ist in der ehemaligen Kirche im Stuttgarter Norden ein Projektraum gewachsen, der Platz bieten kann, um losgelöst von thematischen wie auch finanziellen Hürden an neuen Formaten, gemeinsamen Visionen oder großen Vorhaben zu arbeiten, sie umzusetzen und der Öffentlichkeit zu präsentieren. Ein Ort, welcher keineswegs als finalisierter Gegenentwurf zu einer institutionalisierten Kulturlandschaft verstanden werden kann und möchte, sondern sich vielmehr als Einladung versteht, mit in Verhandlung zu treten und somit Teil seiner steten Fortentwicklung zu sein.

However, the project and cultural space HuMBase declare constant negotiation and unconditional opening as its programmatic and seeks to live up to this premise in a progressive act of failure.
The former church in the north of Stuttgart has developed into a project space that can offer space to work on new formats, joint visions, or large-scale projects, implement them, and present them to the public—detached from thematic and financial barriers. A place that cannot and does not want to be understood as a finalized counter-design to an institutionalized cultural landscape, but rather as an invitation to enter into negotiations and thus be part of its constant development.
